I don't know about the weather were you live, but here in North Carolina...it is hot & humid this time of year! What better way to spend a hot summer day with your children than the age-old activity of setting up a lemonade stand?

I love burlap! It adds a beautiful earthy but elegant feel to any party and it is very budget friendly! You can find burlap in many different colors for about $2 per yard, perfect the DIY bride.

I recently used it on a dessert table for a Sip & See {here}I loved the rustic texture of the burlap paired with the softness of the girly pink. I found so much inspiration all over the web...take a look at all these gorgeous pictures!

Dessert Table ~ Inspired By Fabric

How sweet is this dessert table created by the team of April Foster Events and Megan W Photography?!  Using a light blue and soft green fabric as the inspiration,  the pattern was applied to many of the tables elements...from matted photos that made a unique backdrop, festive pinwheels,  a flower garland and the amazing cake!  The best part is, April Foster Events has shared tutorials of the DIY projects used to create all the great details here on Elizabeth Anne Designs where there are more beautiful pictures of the coordinating table design, stationary, flowers and the unexpected escort card display!  So much inspiration!

Dessert Table ~ For Your Smallest Guests

I have been seeing so much pink and grey lately, and came across this adorable kids table on Martha Stewart Weddings. This sweets table was styled by Bash, Please to celebrate your smallest wedding guests. So many cute details...the backdrop is made from draping yards of gray fabrics with pink trims and pom pom strings. A “chandelier” chime made from small pie tins adds texture and shine....so unique! Fluffy gray pom poms, pink tissue balls, and piles of confetti added to the fun feel of this table. For favors they made homemade pink bubbles with custom designed labels . Each little jar came with a pipe cleaner bubble “ring” made especially for their little fingers!

Dessert Table ~ Carnival Fun!

Hope everyone had a nice long weekend! I have been so busy that I have not had a chance to post this dessert table I did last week for an interview with WRAL news here in Raleigh. They will be featuring Swank Sweets on "Go Ask Mom" a segment that features "mom" owned businesses here in the triangle. I wanted to do a table that could be for either a girl or a boy, and the blue and turquoise color palette is still one of my favorites! The labels and treat bags were made by Anders Ruff  Custom Graphic Designs on Etsy. They have lots of beautiful designs and also do custom work! To see more pictures click here.
